The Clock Is Ticking for the 2026 Public Service Digital ID Rollout

Papua New Guinea is moving toward an important milestone in the digital transformation of its public service.

The Government plans to issue Digital IDs to public servants by December 2026 to strengthen payroll accuracy, employee verification, accountability and the integrity of workforce information.

Government agencies are required to submit verified employee information by 31 October 2026, making data readiness an immediate priority for participating departments and agencies.
